Social Media & Content Marketing Intern (m/f/d)

Berlin, DE Internship Remote Entry level Posted on July 28, 2026
Voluntary internship, up to 3 months - Unpaid (with possibility of converting into paid based on product growth)

Who we are:
TaxHILFE is an early-stage Berlin startup building AI-powered software for the German (and eventually DACH) tax world.
It's two things in one:
  1. An AI-powered OS that helps tax advisors (Steuerberater) run their practices with far less busywork,
  2. and a marketplace that helps individuals and small businesses find and work with a trusted advisor.

The through-line is simple - tax in Germany is slow, opaque, and time-starved, and we're using technology and good design to fix that.

We're small and moving fast. As our marketing intern, you won't be buried in a big department - you'll work directly with the founder, own real channels, and see your work go live to a real audience within days.

What you'll do:
A hands-on role focused on building TaxHILFE's presence with two audiences - German tax professionals (B2B), and the people who need them (B2C).
You'll:
  • Plan, write, and publish content across LinkedIn, Xing, Instagram, Facebook, and Reddit - LinkedIn and Xing are the priority for reaching German tax professionals (B2B), while Reddit and Instagram help us reach individuals and small businesses (B2C)
  • Turn product ideas, tax topics, and founder insights into clear, credible posts (in a trust-sensitive field like tax, nothing sloppy goes out)
  • Run day-to-day community management: monitor engagement, reply to comments and DMs, and flag what's resonating
  • Do lightweight audience and competitor research for the German tax and finance space
  • Track basic metrics - reach, engagement, follower growth - and pull short weekly reports on what's working
  • Help shape a consistent brand voice and content calendar from scratch - you're building, not maintaining

What you'll get out of it:
  • Real ownership of live marketing channels at an early-stage startup, not just deskwork
  • Direct involvement in the founding decisions and a front-row seat to how a startup goes to market
  • Concrete B2B / fintech marketing experience - a strong signal on any CV
  • A written reference and a portfolio of published work
  • An active AI subscription of your choice (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to support your day-to-day work
  • Remote working (Berlin-based, CET hours)

What we're looking for:
  • German at B1 - you'll be creating audience-facing content in German; solid English for working together
  • A feel for social media and content creation, and genuine interest in digital marketing
  • Clear, sharp writing and communication
  • Comfort with the major platforms and basic analytics/scheduling tools (we can teach the specifics)
  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Marketing, Communications, Business, or similar - nice to have
  • Curiosity about finance or tax, and comfort learning a niche you may not know yet
  • Self-starter energy: you're happy owning things without a lot of process around you

You don't need to tick every box. If you write well in German, learn fast, and want real responsibility, apply.

The details:
  • Type: Voluntary internship (freiwilliges Praktikum), up to 3 months
  • Compensation: Unpaid, under the §22 MiLoG exemption for voluntary internships under 3 months. If your degree requires a mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum), a longer duration can be arranged.
  • Location: Germany-based; remote within CET
  • Start: As soon as available
